The HPE Networking Instant On 1830 Series is HPE's line of entry-level, smart-managed Layer 2 Gigabit switches for small and medium businesses, set up and run from the Instant On mobile app, the cloud portal or a local web GUI. The JL814A is the 48-port data-only model, with twice the access ports and twice the dedicated 1G SFP fiber ports of the 24-port JL812A, which gives more room to aggregate traffic from a full floor of wired endpoints. Unlike the fanless JL812A, it is cooled by variable-speed fans.
