Overview
The HPE Aruba Networking 3810M Series is an advanced Layer 3 switch line that HPE built for performance and resiliency in enterprise, SMB and branch networks, combining backplane stacking, hot-swappable power and line-rate 40GbE uplinks in a 1U chassis. The JL075A is the fiber model: 16 fixed SFP+ ports and two open module slots make it a point for concentrating downstream switches rather than terminating copper endpoints. One difference from the access-oriented 2930M is that full OSPF and IPv4 BGP are part of the standard feature set, which lets the JL075A act as a collapsed core or distribution node, and the empty slots leave room for 40GbE toward the core.

Does the HPE Aruba Networking 3810M JL075A have copper ports or PoE?
No fixed copper and no PoE. The HPE Aruba Networking 3810M JL075A has 16 fixed 1000/10000 SFP+ ports and HPE lists its PoE power as N/A. Copper links are possible through the J8177D 1G SFP RJ45 transceiver or the JL081A 4-port HPE Smart Rate module, which gets no PoE on this switch. The JL075A is built to aggregate downstream switches and fiber links rather than to power or connect endpoints directly.
What uplink modules and transceivers does the JL075A use?
The 16 fixed SFP+ ports take 1G SFP and 10G SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables; they do not accept 40GbE optics.
