The Aruba 2530 Switch Series provides reliable and secure Layer 2 access connectivity for enterprises, branch offices and small and midsize businesses, managed with Aruba AirWave or Aruba Central. The J9776A is the 24-port Gigabit data configuration, for mid-sized closets where endpoints need Gigabit but no power from the switch. It keeps the four SFP fiber uplinks of the larger Gigabit models in a rack-width chassis, unlike the compact 8-port models, which have two dual-personality uplinks.

No. The HPE Aruba Networking 2530 J9776A is a data-only switch: its 24 Gigabit access ports carry no Power over Ethernet, so it cannot power access points, IP phones or IP cameras. If you need PoE+ on 24 Gigabit ports, the J9773A is the PoE+ counterpart in the 2530 series, with four 1G SFP uplinks and a 195 W PoE+ budget in a deeper chassis.
What uplinks and transceivers does the J9776A use?
The J9776A has four fixed Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports. They are 1G SFP slots, so 10G SFP+ optics are not supported. HPE requires SFPs of revision B or later, meaning the product number ends in B or a later letter. The QuickSpecs print no per-model transceiver list for this switch, so confirm specific optics against HPE's transceiver compatibility documentation before ordering. Transceivers are sold separately.
Can the J9776A be stacked?
