The Cisco 4000 Family Integrated Services Routers (ISRs) form a Software Defined WAN platform that delivers the performance, security, and convergence capabilities modern branch offices need. Designed for application-aware networking, the ISR4451-X-SEC/K9 helps connect branches to private data centers and public clouds over diverse WAN links such as MPLS, VPN, and the Internet. This model provides 4 onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports and a modular design with 3 NIM slots, 1 ISC slot, and 2 SM slots for flexible expansion. It ships with a default aggregate throughput of 1 Gbps, and supports a pay-as-you-grow performance upgrade to 2 Gbps via a Performance-on-Demand license.
