The Cisco C-NIM-2T is a flexible 2-port network interface module engineered to expand WAN connectivity on Cisco Catalyst 8000 Series Edge Platforms. Designed for high-security Layer 3 routing, it includes two RJ-45 copper ports and two SFP fiber ports organized into dual-port groups. Each group allows one active port at a time, providing media flexibility between copper and fiber. It supports both 100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T for RJ-45 and 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X for SFP connections. With integrated 256-bit WAN MACsec encryption, the module secures data across public and private WAN links. It supports SD-WAN and Cisco vManage integration from day one, and offers online insertion capability for simplified installation and maintenance.
