Broadcom's 12Gb/s SAS solutions are the first of their kind and have been specifically designed to meet the performance and data protection requirements of advanced server and storage platforms. These solutions offer a data transfer rate that is twice as fast as the 6Gb/s SAS solutions, enabling the SAS infrastructure to fully utilize the bandwidth of PCI Express 3.0 with just a single controller card. The MegaRAID SAS 9361-8i, equipped with four internal ports, is powered by two 1.2GHz PowerPC processor cores and a 72-bit DDRIII interface, which supports 1GB cache memory.
