Cisco IE-2000-4S-TS-G-B Industrial Ethernet Switch
The Cisco IE-2000-4S-TS-G-B is a compact, rugged industrial Ethernet switch designed to provide reliable fiber-based connectivity in demanding environments. This model uses four Fast Ethernet SFP downlinks and two Gigabit Ethernet SFP uplinks—no copper combo ports—making it ideal for fiber-only deployments connecting devices such as IP cameras, sensors, and controllers. It is engineered to withstand harsh conditions while offering essential Layer 2 management capabilities for segmentation and traffic control.
Key Features:
- 4 × FE SFP downlinks + 2 × GE SFP uplinks: Purpose-built for fiber-only networks, enabling flexible backhaul and distribution.
- Industrial hardening: Operates from -40°C to +70°C (extended conditions per datasheet) with high shock/vibration tolerance.
- Managed Layer 2: Supports VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, EtherChannel, and monitoring (SPAN/RSPAN).
- Compact DIN-rail form factor: Fits space-constrained cabinets and panels.
- Tooling & visibility: Web/CLI/SNMP management with EEM and flexible TCAM/SDM profiles.
Technical Overview:
- Recommended for: Fiber-only industrial segments needing FE access with GE uplink to core/aggregation.
- Ports: 4 × FE SFP, 2 × GE SFP; no RJ-45/Combo.
- Performance: 7.6 Gbps switching / 3.8 Gbps forwarding; 5.66 Mpps; 2 MB egress buffer.
- Environment: -40°C to +70°C typical; -40°C to +85°C type test (16 hours); up to 15,000 ft altitude.
- Power: Typical consumption 9.5–15 W (model dependent power supplies available).
- Software: LAN Base with IPv4 static routing, IPv6 host features, MODBUS TCP/IP utility.
